What's the story behind ... GS?

It's my everyday workhorse for enjoying espresso coffees at is best: the La Marzocco GS/3. Over the years- since 2008 - I tried every setting on this little monster. But I'll never asked myself the meaning of the preamble "GS".  On home barista I found an interesting post about the GS/3:

"This preamble leads us to the explanation of the origin of the GS/3's name. As noted on La Marzocco's website, GS, in Italian, means "gruppo saturo" or saturated group. The photo below shows a cutaway La Marzocco grouphead from a Linea":
