The 'laboratory espresso machine' conceived by two Israeli designers David Budzik and Adi Achlesinger celebrates coffee with a scientific aesthetic.
The machine was created to achieve perfect timing required for the production of a single portion of perfect espresso, bringing obtainable expert process to the average user. The device works with espresso capsules in order to allow use by beginners as well as the more experienced audience. the machine employs physics laws known a the 'venturi effect' and thermo dynamics, and the capsule punching mechanism is derived from the world of automatic weapons. the contraption is made from reinforced glass and polymers in conjunction with an aluminum frame structure and features a classic-style barometer.
